Novartis Pharma AG (“Novartis”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is responsible for the processing of the personal data which is being collected and processed when you register and attend the Respiratory Disease Spotlight Webinar (the “Personal Data”) and therefore acts as a “data controller”.
We work with the third party Dorier SA in Switzerland, who collect Personal Data on our behalf and therefore acts as a “data processor”.
What personal information do we process and for what purpose?
We process the following categories of personal data you provide in the registration form for the Respiratory Disease Spotlight Webinar, such as your first name, last name, country of practice, medical profession and e-mail address (“Personal Data”). We also track your participation to the webinar, which may include additional identifiers, such as your IP address.
It is necessary that we process your Personal Data in order to allow you to register and to watch the video recordings of the webcasts, to contact you and to send you information and any follow up communication related to this portal and its assets. We may further need to process Personal Information if the processing is necessary for our legitimate interests and does not unduly affect your interests or fundamental rights and freedoms or if the processing is necessary to comply with our legal or regulatory obligations.
Who has access to Personal Data and to whom are they transferred?
Personal Data will not be sold, used, shared, or otherwise distributed to third parties except as provided in this Privacy Notice.
Personal Data will be transferred to local Novartis legal entities where you are located for regulatory and compliance reasons. Novartis has all appropriate legal safe guards in place to transfer data internally within the Enterprise.
Personal Data may also be transferred to other third parties who act for or on our behalf, for further processing in accordance with the purposes described above, including processing to enable services delivery, data management or technical support.
These third parties may be located in countries or territories that may not offer the same level of data protection as the country in which you reside. They have contracted with us to use Personal Data solely for the agreed-upon purpose, and not to sell Personal Data to third parties, and not to disclose it to third parties except as may be required by law or regulations or for defending Novartis interests in a legal matter.
If Personal Data is transferred to external companies in other jurisdictions, we will make sure Personal Data is protected (i) by applying the level of protection required under applicable data protection/privacy laws and (ii) by acting in accordance with our policies and standards.
Personal Data can also be accessed by or transferred to any national and/or international regulatory, enforcement, public body or court where required to do so by applicable law or regulation or at their request.
How do we protect Personal Data?
We have implemented appropriate technical and organisational measures to provide an adequate level of security and confidentiality to your Personal Data.
Only Personal Data is collected and processed which is adequate, relevant and not excessive, as required to meet the above purposes.
How long do we keep Personal Data?
Your personal data will be stored for the duration 12 months.
What are your rights and how can you exercise them?
If you wish to contact us regarding the use of your Personal Data or if you wish to exercise your privacy rights under the conditions and within the limits set forth in the law, such as:
